New mobo, processor, watercooling, RAM, BSOD on startup *fixed*

I just installed the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, i7 2600K, Corsair H80, and 8GB Ripjaws 1600MHz. When I try to boot into windows I get a BSOD right after the Starting Windows logo. It flashes very fast and reboots so I can't read it. I can't boot into safe mode either. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 now because it boots into this just fine. Any ideas why it would be doing this?

Sounds like you upgraded some components but kept your hard drive from an old build without reinstalling Windows? It's probably a driver conflict causing the BSOD. If you can, I would just reinstall and start fresh. Use Ubuntu to backup anything you need.

Yeah, I figured it out, I had to uninstall AMD OverDrive and now all is good. I'm waiting on my DVD drive because my new mobo doesn't support IDE. Time to upgrade anyway lol. I'm going to reinstall when I get it.
