Rate my new Sandy Build's Cables

What do you guys think of my new Sandy Bridge build? How are the cables?

The whole build:
338

My new HD 5970
338

Ripjaws!!
338

The backside
338

I know it's not awesome cables. I need to cinch down those cables on the bottom, and get an extension for that hideous 8-pin CPU power..

On a scale of 1-10, how are they?

Like you said, I would do something about that mess around the power supply thumb.gif

Also the 8 pin connector that runs across the graphics card is a bummer. Try and run it straight up and turn it left like I did if it's long enough. (Without putting it behind the motherboard tray if you have to)

400

I'd give them a 6-7 right now

Hiding cables is a art form in itself and dose take time to think it through as to where you are and where you want to end it. I have seen lot's worse in management of cables and your's buddy is far from that. I would give you a seven hand's down. Now with that said your 8 pin need's to be rerouted either behind the mobo tray or underneath the mobo itself. If you are having trouble reaching the connection you can use extensions.

Cable tie's are everybodys friend.thumb.gif

I'm actually rather good at cable management. When I didn't have this card, the only cable you could even see was the 8-pin. I need a Level 10 GT or something.. Then it'll look professional smile.gif

There is actually about 1" of clearance between the side bottom and the PSU, I once tied the cables together real tight and stuck it there, looked perfect. But then a loose molex connector kept grounding to the case, and I had to undo it to troubleshoot, haven't put it back yet.
