Solved !

Hey guys !

First off i'm not from a english speaking country so be patient smile.gif Just bought new parts, Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P, 2500k and corsair dominator ram. Running a fairly big water cooled "rig". But i have problems...been sitting here trying to fix it for 8-10 hours now and don't know where to turn...

I have only clocked up one other gigabyte with 1155 socket, and that went easily up to 5ghz with little voltage, damn mate got a insane chip. smile.gif Been overclocking the last 3-4 commuters with good success but its been a while. My problem is that if i change the voltage, the cpu volt is 1,344v no mater what i do. Tried everything... The cpu voltage is either stock, or 1,344v... its the same if i say it should use 1,2v or 1,5v.... after i then save and restart in the bios its 1,344v... load line don't respond either. I tried to use easytune6 in the windows (big no no) and there i could some times get the voltage to change, but it was just problems. So i'm uncertain if this is due to me, the mobo or bios or something else.

My mates computer uses almost the same off everything, and there i just turned off all the power saving stuff, cpu at 1,3v and 4,5ghz and bang, that was that...used no time at all. Since my voltage always stays at either stock or 1,344v i tried to put my cpu to 4,3ghz at that voltage... got in in windows by luck now and did a easy 30 min prime95...no problems. Then i tried to turn the computer off, wait 2 min and start it again... stock voltage, stock ghz again... but all the other settings stays the same :S Using the newest bios btw....

So please help guys, going insane here. I don't know if this is the mobo or bios, so i put the post here... help plixzor a Norwegian guy that soon trows a mobo in the trash... (just kidding tho smile.gif)

Tried more today, no mater what i do i "The system has experienced boot failures due to overclocking or changes of voltages". if everything is stock and i just change the voltage on cpu to lets say 1,3v...same happens

Also tried having one ram chip in, and multiple different combos just to try, no luck...

These are the stock voltage, ps: i'm not using this program just to show the voltage now...

After even further testing i see that no mater what i do in the voltage section in bios it just fails. But with cpu volt on auto i still get 1,37-1,38v in win with load so i'm worknig with that now... seems kinda stable so far so we'll see... Bad i can't adjust volt tho frown.gif

Yepp, i tried all-in-all 3 or 4 different bios's. Got my money back also so i guess they found that it wasn't good. + Have all the same parts in this mobo without problems.
