AHCI / XHD Switching

Thread Starter
Looking to switch from AHCI to XHD "on the fly" during bootup for my motherboard. I dual boot multiple operating systems so one of them requires AHCI and the other makes use of Intel Rapid Storage Technology which is why "XHD" is used with my motherboard.
Any ideas if anything like this is possible to do?
Thanks,

Bump. Is something like this possible to do? I think my motherboard supports 2 flashes of BIOS but I'm not sure how easy that is to switch on the motherboard itself.
Especially if the side panel is on.

Is there anything on the software level during bootup that is able to achieve this?
A custom script in BIOS perhaps, to ask me which one I want to use (ACHI or XHD) as soon as I press the power button?
Or a hotkey such as F12? Most of all, it would just save me 15 seconds of going into BIOS and setting it manually, and then rebooting. ;P
However, maybe a reboot is required in order to do such a thing "on the fly" anyways.

Thanks,

If you are talking about booting one os with ahci and the other with raid like I think you are, you should be able to save a profile for each os in the bios with the different settings you need . I may be wrong but it could never hurt to try.

Ah - So would I need to press "delete" in order to get into BIOS and select my profile or is there an easier way to do so during boot up?
Thanks,
