I would just like to point out that its hard to find a quality CRT these days. I still have an old Sony Trinitron 19" CRT that has great picture. At one point I thought it was flaking out and bought a 19" Samsung CRT to replace it. The picture was fuzzier and definitely worse than the 19" LCDs at work running at a similar resolution. And then the damn thing died after six months use. I put the Sony back into use and its still working fine.

I think my next monitor is going to be an LCD though because the monitor industry has moved on and not longer make a decent CRT. The only CRTs are for the ultra cheap users who want to save $$

I will miss the resolution switching though. Guess you have to play with AA and AF now to get acceptable FPS in games...

New LCDs actually scale quite well to lower resolutions. Not as well as a CRT, obviously, but they can do it without burning your retinas. You can play with AA and AF all the way up at native resolutions, you just buy a better graphics card

I use this for gaming and it has a great picture (no ghosting), I paid $550US around 6months ago you can get it for around $480US now, I don't really care for Gateway but they do have a good monitor
