Make sure airflow in the case is good. Also, which and how much thermal paste did you apply. You'll only need a small amount of thermal past, the size of a grain of rice.
Hey chozart, im kind off-topic here but i couldn't send pm. Im overclocking an e6600 too (following this
guide), but about the thermal paste you mention, isn't it "the more the better"? You apply much -not TOO much- and cover uniformly all the chip, the attack the waterblock (or fan base)... the thermalpaste (Arctic Cool) will become solid after 8 or so days.
On topic, i have Zalman 9500 too now, on an P4 650 (3.41GHz), it's a nice fan but no fan can come up with a watercooling setup, especially in overclocked systems. That's why im jumping to wc myself - one more reason for me is the noise levels, but i guess you're not referring to this-.
