A silent one obviously, with no explosion, nothing. Pretty sure they kill me at the touch of a button, and they'd do it repeatedly, sometimes before i'd even take off. This has happened countless times across multiple servers, same with other dodgey things such as exceptionally good snipers who repeatedly get kills from stupid distances, etc, etc.
BF3 is going down the pooper to be honest. I expect it'll go the way that Diablo 1 did.

Yeah they're definitely neglecting the PC Users concerns, oh well, back to Postal 3 for me.

as sure telltale sign of it was my chopper remaining intact while i just suddenly died. It's quite discouraging to see cheaters when you're trying your best to play legit. Makes the game not worth playing at all.

My gut feeling is EA will never fully address the issue, i have no faith in them as a company and i definitely don't trust them. DICE also havn't made it easy to help admins police their servers, you'd think they'd learn from past experience but nope. BF Rcon is really ,really stupid, it's the only game i know that doesn't have it's own rcon commands built in, and i'm forced to use something like Procon to remedy that, just as i did in BC2.

Stupid things like that really make me lose my patience with this game.

For now I'm done trying to find a a decent server with active admins that I can get a respectable ping on. It's a great game and I'll start playing again after the next patch, hopefully we can all get a couple of hours in before they update their hacks.

Hope they get someone decent;

Cheating/hacking on BF3 seems to be at a whole new level lately, almost every server I go on there seems to be cheaters/hackers, or at the very least suspected ones. I played BF2 for quite a few years and I only remember coming across 2 or 3 cheaters in that time but BF3 seems to be flooded with them. In actual fact the very first time I played it I was killed by a cheater who killed me with a knife when I was driving a tank rolleyes.gif. There are those obvious cheaters who use hacks that allow them to kill from anywhere on the map and blaze away but I'm now also suspecting there are a lot of other more subtle cheaters, who don't give themselves away so easily and therefore get away with it.

I played a round recently where the top three players in the opposing team had kill counts over 50 and death counts in single figures, I don't know if they were cheating but it seems very unlikely they could've done that playing fairly. I suspected at least one of them was cheating when I was killed by a single shot even though I was far away from the enemy and behind a building, while the kill cam showed the player at the other side of the map where he could not have seen me. Several other players were complaining as well that he was cheating but players on his own team were defending him saying he was playing fairly. The problem is, unless it's patently obvious that someone is cheating (as in being killed with a knife when you're in a tank) it's almost impossible to be sure and they will just get away with it.

The cheaters seem to be pretty much invulnerable at the present time on BF3. Even when a player is obviously cheating they are not kicked immediately, as I remember happened on BF2, they just stay on the server and provoke angry reactions from other players. I don't know why it's so bad on BF3 but if EA don't do something about it soon there won't be many legit players left and soon it'll just be cheaters against cheaters, at least then it would be fair.

I just hope they hire someone HONEST and not a cheater and just a professional guy at security and beefing up the coding. Make it harder for the little smart kiddie coders to start cracking it which they wouldn't be able to bypass. This i am crossing my fingers for a huge security improvement. We need it so bad. BF3 has been so much fun compared to BFBC 2. I still think it would been smart to not use Origin and a browser but it has improved overtime with fixes and updates. I just think they could had done a standalone game like in the past o well. Still a fun game. I am only visiting one server and two that is VERY legit but i can tell maybe a few have cheats but rarely. It is tough for other players and i hope they will continue not to give up.

Keep your faith in the developers. We'll fight back against cheaters in no time biggrin.gif

While I have seen hackers when playing, I have to say that reading this thread would give me the impression that you cant play ever without seeing tons of hackers.

And thats just not the case, I play nearly every day, I use a rather select group of servers that are in my recents, all are PB servers, and I only see a hacker every now and then.

It really isnt as bad as some people make it seem here.

I have to wonder if your joining servers without PB or something...  I know most of the servers I join will ban hackers, you see it in the dialog box all the time..

I went 38 and 0 earlier to day while co piloting a attack chopper. It's easy when you have a great pilot and thermal.

Every single person on the other side called me a cheat, yelling for the admins.

Sometimes you have to make sure someone isn't in a tank, or jet or heli before you accuse them.

A good sniper with a luck swarm can go 20-0.

I think the problem here is, the aiming is terrible for some people.

Ever since Joint Operations : Typhoon Rising, I have never....NEVER played a online game and been under 2.0 kill death ration. And that goes for BF2, Bad company on ps3 and PS2, Socom 2 and 3 all cal of duties and band of brothers.

I barely hang on to 1:1 when not in a chopper in bf3

This game is just easier to suck at. The hit points are terrible.

Yea, I one match as recon I was able to take out 3 heli pilots(shoot them while they hover) and remove a few of the side bay gunner with a single headshot. I have also pulled more than one 700+ meter kill as recon in a single match. People screamed hacker in both maps.
