Need advice about Water cooling solution

Ițm thinking of getting myself some nice cooling when the new parts arrive. Curently i'm thiking about the radiators. Will 2x120mm Phobya Chargers rads will be enough for cooling a cpu like an Intel 2500k or an AMD FX8120 efficiently? The cpu-block will be a EK Supreme HF and the VGA don;t know yet (waiting to grab an AMD 7870 ).

Here's a sketch of what it would look like.241

dual 120mm rads will be plenty for CPU overclocking. A single 120mm radiator depending on it's size works perfectly fine. According to the laws of thermal dynamics there is a law of diminishing returns on cooling.

Also, you will have to mount the fan between the back of the case and the radiator. Be sure the thickness of the radiator and the fan doesn't make it too thick to get a tube to the CPU socket.

Thanks mate. Someone on another forum told me that a single pump won't cut it for dual 120mm rads (50mm or so thick) and one block (the cpu) not to mention the gpu (i discarded the idea because it seems i won't be able to get full-cover block for a 7870 frown.gif ) .

My question is -> Will a 600 l / hour pump will be enough for a dual-rad system and only one block (the HF supreme)? Also, i'm thnking the fans like this -> The on from the back of the case will pull air from the outside like the one from the front, and the side fans will be exhausts. Might do a rethink on them, but for now that's what i came up with...

The guy on the other forum doesn't know what he's talking about then. A 600 L/hr pump will be fine for your setup.

Thanks a lot mate. I'll read more about water-cooling and decide on it (i might even cut my case to get a 240mm rad on top , but that's not certain tongue.gif ) . Anyway, you're both rep'ed. Thanks for the help. thumb.gif
