Dear OCN, Fix this build, please. Love, A Noob.

Thread Starter
So I've posted a few different incarnations of this build (my first, and a super-budget), and it seems like every time I get ready to pull the trigger on a build, Newegg's prices go up. Wth, Newegg? Can someone look this over and suggest how I could knock some $$ off without rendering the machine useless, or at least suggest some strategies for watching online prices (NCIX and superbiiz seem to fluctuate proportionately w/ NEgg), beause all I can seem to accomplish so far is logging on every day and downgrading my components to stay within budget. I really don't want to buy a supercombo, but if building doesn't save money, I can't do it. Here's the original build, followed by what I'm down to now: (BTW, this is an APU build, so I might add a discreet GPU later, but not atm.)

Original Build:

$119.99 AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz Socket FM1 Quadcore OEM (built-in Radeon 6550)
$66.97 BIOSTAR A75MH FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Mobo
$29.99 GSkill Ripjaw 8GB (2x4) DDR3 1600
$49.99 Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm 6.0GBps 3.5"
_____________
$266.94 Pretty good for a super-budget,right? If I ordered it right now, it would be $345. Next week: who knows?

The crap-pile I'm settling for now:

$119.99 AMD A6-3650 Llano 2.6GHz Socket FM1 Quadcore (built in Radeon 6530D) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103943
$64.99 BIOSTAR A55MH FM1 AMD A55 (Hudson D2) HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

$29.99 Gskill Ripjaw 4GB (2x4) DDR3 1600

$50 Some kinda used HDD from OCN forums?

Patience is a virtue. Prices do vary - but they don't climb forever.

Either wait for prices to drop or settle for your "crap-pile" (that isn't even that bad of a build).

You also understand with your original build you would have also had to spend $$ on a heatsink? Typically you can cut a few $$ of by going with 4GB of memory instead of 8GB - i'd say with what you're most likely doing, 4GB should be fine. Also consider switching to a SB build? There are a lot more mature motherboards in that price range that would support something with an integrated GPU and would be faster if you went with a dedicated GPU later on.
