Too late for changes?

I severly doubt that low budget PSU. I strongly recommend the following changes:

- Video: SAPPHIRE 100189L Radeon X1900GT 256MB GDDR3 for $199.99
- PSU: Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W for $89.99 and free shipping.

The X1900GT will be close to the same performance as the X1800XT, so it's not much of an offer. And you do need a good, solid PSU. Don't skimp on that part of the rig.

The psu has 12v so it should be good for a little while. What psu would you reccomend for under $100? I really like the ocz one's

*any* PSU has 12V.... It might hold for a while, and it might not.. not sure about the quality.

Under $100, I'd say the Antec Truepower II 550W for $89.99 (currently with free shipping - see my previous post)
I had this one myself, and liked it. It has solid, and relatively powerful 12V rails (19A each, with a total max load of 36A). Only reason I replaced it is because 36A is not enough for me.

The next step up would be the OCZ GameXStream 600W for $119.99 minus $15 MIR (at the moment of course). This PSU is identical to the FSP Epsilon series (of which I have the 700W version). Highly reliable and plenty power.

awesome thanks, yea the 12v also goes to 26a I believe. There was no reviews about this, but some other peoeple said the 480 version wasn't bad. I don't mind being the test dummy lol. I'll write up a review for it once I get everything together. I'm really digging the ocz one, would a 700w be overkill for me? I really dont plan to do dual vid cards. Thanks, Mike

If you don't plan dual cards, the 600W is enough. It roughly pushes 42A or so on the 12V rails, while the 700W pushes around 50A. Since the 700W is plenty for my rig (including overclock), the 700W should be more than enough for a single card rig. (note: the extra 700W is all available for the 12V rails)

Get the 600W GameXStream. You'll love it, and it's plenty power for any single GPU based rig, and for most dual GPU based rigs.
