Copper polishing compounds safe?

Thread Starter
i just bought a Copper TRUE and the very top of it is a bit discolored. Was wondering if it'd be safe to use some sort of polishing compound to shine it up (in keeping with OCN style, everything's gotta look sharp n shiny). biggrin.gif this would only be used on the very top surface, not where it contacts the cpu or any of the fins.

thanks,

~g

Dip it in vinegar, watered down a bit and keep an eye on it. You can use ketchup too, which is a bit safer.

Just so you know, I already washed it in vinegar. You can redo it if you please as it will not hurt it at all. As far a polishing, brasso works great with a microfiber or any other metal polish. Make sure the polish is for fine polishing as the copper will show any larger scratches after you polish. You wont hurt it.
