oh what's that? sandforce issues are mostly resolved?, oh, why do crucial m4 owners bash us people with sandforce drives, mine's flawless, really reliable, no stuttering, no speed decreases, people on here are too quick to bash other products and recommend the ones they believe are more reliable or proven to be.. i mean come on sure lots of people have gotten BSOD's with sandforce drives but the majority don't have one slight problem with them i firmly believe that it's to do with hardware/software combinations with these SSD's that are with the sandforce controller.

I find this ironic. I had a post not too long ago about the several Agility 3s I purchased and how I've had ZERO issues with them while being on 24/7 since purchase in a business setting. I received several posts and several PMs telling me that the Crucial M4s were sooo much better and more reliable.


I have to admit, I really like Crucial products. Very solid company.

Hmm, just got my m4 128GB in the mail this morning, waiting on my RAM to come in to start the install. Still, assuming it is 5200 hours, Crucial should have plenty of time to figure out the issue and get it fixed before it becomes my problem.

Not everybody, but most people who bash OCZ specifically is because of how long it took OCZ to even admit there was a problem, let alone getting around to fixing it. Right now the drives are good, but if there is another problem down the road, people don't want to risk having a long turn around without getting things fixed. In the thread linked by the OP Crucial has already made a response, acknowledged there was a problem, and is setting up RMA's and planning on researching the problem. To me that is a good sign. Technology fails, its a fact of life. I don't hate a specific company just because they had a bug or a failure, its all about how they handle the bugs when they come up.
