Hey guys, no where in my title did I say crucial sucks(even the original). I just made people aware of a bug their drives were experiencing. Other people do and say what they want with the information.

Thanks for the clarification C_C! I try extremely hard to present information in as non-biased a way as possible in all walks of life.

The title would have been fine if most people bothered to read the actual source you posted. CC its just trying to lend a hand to the lazy so they don't fud more than they already have.

Guess I'll wait for the new firmware now before bothering with an RMA now.
Good to know I may not have to send it off.

QFT!!

The M4 seemed to have a lot of worshipers over here.

I am sure its a good drive based on the number of users using it vs their complaints.

Anyways, I'm glad i choose the Force GT 120GB over this.

No reboots / BSODs etc so far.

lol, so many people don't read a thread before they even post. smh

I'm glad crucial has a fix coming this fast (and actually impressed). thumb.gif Lets not forget that during the whole OCZ BSoD fiasco, they were also kinda bout my Sandforce's response rate so it wasn't that easy. Things should be much different with their Indilinx controller lines ( the Octane for instance...which is looking so sexy).

I was planning to grab an M4 (256GB) for my laptop (Studio xps 16 ) when school starts in a couple of weeks but I think I'll grab an Agility 3 (240GB) instead given the steep price difference. I'm a bit more confident in OCZ products now after the 2.15 firmware update.

I hope the release from Crucial in 2 week clears this up. In the mean time, i want more SSD sales lol

Nice of you to leave out the part where it took Sandforce 6 months to find and fix their bsod yet Crucial did it in a month.

Good job.
