I'm at 171 hours, only had the drive since Christmas.

Will it be fixable via a firmware update?

Ya, cept on fw 1.3.3 I now get hard freezes every 2-3 days then hard drive failure message on next boot until I unplug the sata power plug and wait a minute. Then yes, sandforce is great.

On 1.2fw I only had rare bsod's mad.gif
AMD, I give up.

If you are nearing usage, return it for a replacement. If you just bought it, you have at least 2/3 of a year for them to fix the issue.

I'm happy with my SSD and until they say "we aren't fixing it" - this is probably one of the least worrysome problem I've heard of - you know exactly when it will fail.

Hmmm. This makes me happy with my "lowly" Zalman purchase. 280r/270w and according to SSD life I have over 4320hrs on the drive and it has an estimated 80% life left in it or, according to Life, over 8 years.thumb.gif

On topic, I feel bad for the users of these drives.
