Skyrim on my backup Rig

Thread Starter
I'm trying to play skyrim on my backup/girlfriends pc but running into a few problems with the game.

The rig specs:
C2D e8400@3.5ghz
4gigs of ddr2 1066mhz
ATI 4870
WD 7200 rpm blue HD
Screen Resolution 1650x1050
Low Settings in skyrim

The game looks decent and i get a solid 60fps except when looting a body or entering a building the game takes literally 5 minutes to load. If I stay outside and just run around everything seems fine.

I should be able to play it on low settings on this pc right?

Any tips wopuld be appreciated, Thanks

With that rig you should be able to play skyrim on medium-high settings. The long loading time might possibly be because of your HDD, although I'm not too sure.
