Yes, this is normal for this card. You can purchase an aftermarket cooler such as:

http://www.arcticcooling.com/vga2.php?idx=40

This will allow you greater overclocks. You will also be transitioning the heat output to the outside of the computer case and lower your case ambient temperatures. It's a good purchase and an easy isntallation.

They say as long as your under 80c your fine, but if thats the temps without it even Overclocked then i reccomend not OCing the card until you get fans to cool it off, but truthfully speaking if your not out to OC the card you would be fine at those temps.

That is a fine temperature. Mine used to go up to 91c on my 6800LE, after voltmodding it.

The Artic NV Silencer 5 will NOT fit your XFX 6800XT.
Note: I'm assuming you have the AGP version because of your motherboard, MSI K8N Neo.

AGP XFX 6800XT (NV41):

Layout for ALL NV40 core, 6800XX series:
(specifically 6800GS)

As you can see both the NV41 and NV40 core cards have VERY different PCB layouts.
The XFX 6800XT doesn't have the required mounting holes for the NV5.
