[Engadget] Galaxy Nexus Coming to Sprint? - Page 3

Granted not a rumor anymore.

http://www.sprint.com/landings/lte/index.html?INTCID=AB:UBU:HERO:010912:GalaxyNexusPrelaunch:960x320

Confirmed as coming, 1.2Ghz, no release date or price. It says 16gb, that's enough for me, I only use half of my 16gb sd, but it'd be a shame if the 32gb isn't even offered.

Yeah, I wont see LTE, I just buy the phone I want knowing it's a 3G phone. Verizon wouldn't have 4g LTE in my area either, it's not even something I think about when it comes to phone purchases. I can get WiMax at one of my plants I go to for work, but that's rare enough to not even be a thought.

When this happens, I plan to switch my family from AT&T to Sprint and from iPhone to Nexus.

Would they all be happy with that? Usually once you're set up on one of the operating systems it's easier to just stay there, due to apps already purchased etc. I bet your wife wouldn't be to happy! Or the kids, most of the fun of having an iPhone is so the other kids at school can see it!

I was waiting for the Galaxy Nexus since day one. However, it unfortunately never got released (or even had any rumors) that it was coming to ATT. I ended up getting the Galaxy SII.

My brother ended up getting the Galaxy Nexus by importing it here and using it on T-Mobile. I have to say(and yes I'll be one of the very few) that I'm not really impressed with the phone. Yes, the screen is awesome but it's not as fast as the SII and Android 4.0 is nice but nothing earth shattering.

I really just wasn't impressed. I'm glad I didn't shell out $700 for an unlocked version.

Eh, I would say that it is as fast as the SII, but it also has 2.6 times more pixels. (384k pixels vs. 998.4k pixels) I personally will take the upped resolution over some negligible phone test scores. Not thinking ICS is that great is a different matter, that's personal and I can respect you not being impressed with it. I myself am, using 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 through their respective life cycles I really like many things ICS has brought to the table.

And personally, I don't think any phone is worth $700, and I'd probably end up being unhappy with any phone I paid that much for.
