I'm not too sure, I'm not so great with stuff like that. This is the spec of my psu:

+12V Rails 1
SATA Connector 6
PCI-E 8 Pin Connector 2
Floppy Connector 1
Modular No
ATX 4+4 Pin CPU Connector 1
ATX 20+4 Pin Motherboard Connector 1
4 Pin Molex Connector 3
Rated Wattage 750w
Max Load +12V 720w
Amps per 12V Rail 60
Warranty 5 Years

- Compliance with the latest Intel standard ATX 12V
- Single +12V rail for the most demanding SLI configuration
- High effciency design that meets 80 Plus requirements (85% typical)
- Ultra-silent operation with intelligent 120mm fan speed control
- Multipe protection design (OVP/ UVP / OPP / OTP / SCP)
- High reliability (MTBF > 100,000)
- Double Layer EMI Filter restrains noise and injury to end-user
- Huge bulk capacitor for hold up time > 17ms at full load
- Integrating Active PFC with PWM combo controller not only make PFC higher than 0.99, but also raises efficiency
- Efficent transformer for reducing 5Bsb power loss when the system is at turn-off and sleep modes
- Five Year Warranty

from here.

Does anyone know if this is true, a guy told me this:

"The 6950 card is in fact only marginally better then the Radeon HD 5850, where it mainly improves over the 5xxx series is Tessellation and everywhere else it only has marginal gains as its a refresh of the 5xxx and not a significant redesign."

Is this true!?

Yeah I think it could be sure, although I'm not sure how I'd find out.

I had a similar problem with my crossfire 6850s. After awhile the scaling on both GPUs would drop. Forcing constant voltage fixed it.

True with the addition of 1GB more vRAM unless, your 5850 is Toxic 2GB.

Check also, the 6950 is running PCIe @x16, x8 or x4.

Use GPU-Z to verify.

Ah ok. Yeah it is x16, checked with GPU-Z.

How would I do this? unless this is the same as below, in which I've upped it to +20% control power with no difference.

If you want to see performance increase, overclock it to 880/1375 MHz for the core and memory @ 1.175v + 20%.

That will be the stock clocks and voltage for 6970.
