Have you resolved this issue?

I'm having the same problem and searching the net for a cure. I have (2) gtx460 in Sli powered by a Corsair 750w PSU. Windows shutsdown, Monitor powers down, but fans and lights stay on. Only work around is to hold the power button to turn it off, or set the computer in "sleep" mode.

Everything works fine if I take out a video card and use only one of the 460's. This leads me to believe it's an Nvidia driver issue and was going to try rolling back the drivers, just wondering if you've found a solution.

Bios, Nvidia drivers, mobo drivers all updated to newest versions.

3 weeks ago i ended up re-seating my mainboard psu plug (the big 24pin one) and it seems that solved the problems. Ever since then i had no problems (please pray it stays). I noticed the cable was pulling a bit, maybe one of the pins did not make a good contact? You can check yours aswell?

interesting. maybe that did it for me as well then. I know I tore that thing apart trying to find the issue, also cleaned out the dust at the same time. so yeah, others having the issue, reseat your cables.

I have the exact same issue going on but I am running a Radeon 6970 card.

It will shut down but fans still run. It happened once when I was buidling the machine but stopped and now it is back again.
