BCCode 3b, failed to load detection driver

Thread Starter
So I just finished installing my SSD, fresh install of windows 7... I went to play HoN and got a BSOD - BCCode 3b. I never had this previously, but it happened a continuously when I booted (currently in safe mode).

Then I remembered I didn't install the drivers! I thought I was on top of this problem but when I go to install the drivers I get an error "failed to load detection driver". I am now unable to install drivers, and unable to boot into normal mode without BSOD. Weird because the whole time I was setting up my SSD there were no problems like this, only when I started to play HoN. I even had my GPU OC'd (unlocked shaders), and when this happened I flicked the BIOS switch back to the original, but still no luck.

Any suggestions?

0x3B = SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

The SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION bug check has a value of 0x0000003B. This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.

Cause
This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

You need to boot into safe mode; completely remove/uninstall your graphic/display drivers; download the latest version of the drivers and install them.

Thanks for the info but it's still not working. I used "driver sweeper" and then tried installing the latest drivers and got the same error "failed to load detection driver".

Hmm, very odd. Do you have access to the dump files in safe mode? If you can, please upload the latest one to mediafire and I will debug it and see if I can get any info out of it.

I tried driver sweeper again, restarted, which booted me into normal mode and installed the new drivers. This appeared to be working, and I was not getting the "failed to load detection drivers" but then I got BSOD once again, with the same 3b code. Also, I am unsure how to access the dump files. I think I should be able to though (64 bit OS).

One of the dump files displayed the process that caused the crash was InstallManager, which I believe relates to CCC. Okay.... so what we're going to do is this.

1. Boot into safe mode

2. Fully uninstall your gpu drivers.

3. Also uninstall any CAPs or gpu monitoring software you may have installed.

4. Restart after you've uninstalled said programs.

5. Boot into safe mode once again and use driver sweeper to remove any previously left over library files.

6. Restart.

7. Boot into NORMAL Windows and install your desired AMD driver version.

8. Restart.

See how things go. I'm going to eat dinner, but I'll be reporting back afterwards to check up.

Open an elevated command prompt (right click command prompt and run as admin)

type “bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” without the quotes (and no the DD is not a typo)
