$600 budget gaming rig, need help.

Hi guys. I am trying to make a list of items for a friend that wants a gaming rig on a $500-$600 budget. I am having a hard time staying within said budget so I need some help. Here is a list of what I am thinking so far, still need a hard drive (surprised at the increase in HD prices) and I'm not sure about the GPU. He also wants to be able to hook the PC up to his HDTV so I am under the assumption he needs a GPU with HDMI. Feel free to replace anything you see with something you think is better and/or cheaper. The closer to $500 the better. I will check back frequently, many thanks. smile.gif

Looks relatively good however the case sucks and he could go for 4GB RAM instead to save a few bucks.

I assume he already has Windows?

The price difference between 4gb and 8gb of ram these days is negligible. I know it's a budget build, but he's only allocating $35 for 8gb of ram. It'd only save like $5 or $10 to drop down to 4gb.

That case is bad? Its got decent reviews, thought it would be a good pick. Yeah he has a copy of Windows already.

Hm, will consider that. Thanks.

Anyone else? I need an affordable hard drive and I'm still not sure about the GPU.
