I don't suppose said pedestal would also fit the Merlin?

No, Merlin will have it's own pedestal wink.gif

I see that there are several different radiator mount options, some of which mention the ability to use 38mm fans with them. Exactly what is the offset of these different radiator mounts and how much room does each give between itself and the outer cover? I've had one person tell me that one of the offsets is 15mm, so i can only assume that the distance from the frame to the outer cover is 10-12mm soas to fit a 25mm fan within it? Does that mean the deeper radiator mounts have a 28mm indent from the frame?

The standard STH10 Mounts are designed for 25mm thick fans. By happy coincidence, the standard TH10/MH10 can be used for 38mm thick fans since they have more offset. The downside of using them is that they will interfere with a PSU in the same bay and they reduce the interior space.

What is the clearance between the fan and the cover when using either of these? Is it so tight as to have screws rub against the cover or is there a few mm space so you have room for seals and anti-vibration products. If someone could measure the clearance available, I'd appreciate it.

When I used allen key head bolts I couldent get the sidecover on.

If you have unusually thick filters or 38mm fans, you can use a TH10 mount. You'll simply loose the ability to put a PSU on that side of the bay (which you wouldn't be doing with a 480/560 anyway).

How should the 120.4 Radiator Side mounts for STH10 really be mounted?
So its max clearence for the radiators (if you have 2 in the bottom), or max clearence for fans?
