http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8150-zambezi-bulldozer-990fx,3043-6.html
It loses to the X4 in half of these tests:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8150-zambezi-bulldozer-990fx,3043-12.html
It loses to the X6 in several of these tests:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8150-zambezi-bulldozer-990fx,3043-15.html
Losing to both the X6 and X4 in most of these tests:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8150-zambezi-bulldozer-990fx,3043-16.html
Lost the first test on this page to both the X6 and X4:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8150-zambezi-bulldozer-990fx,3043-17.html
Losing to both the X4 and X6 at high resolutions in Crysis 2:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fx-8150-zambezi-bulldozer-990fx,3043-18.html
Losing to the X4 in every test on this page:

I believe that your own argument has backfired on you. You need to stop trying to justify your bad purchases.

*sigh*... I will make it easy for you, since you feel benchmarks are the best indicator of performance. I went through the entire review, and counted the wins of every graph... Here are the results:
Zambezi- 25
Thuban- 6
Deneb- 10

So even the deneb is a better choice than thuban, and even with the thuban and deneb added together, the Zambezi still has more wins.
And here, I will count the wins in this benchmark:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/434?vs=203
Zambezi-32
Thuban- 17

I am sorry I fed you... Have fun recommending x6 Thubans to people thumb.gif

I had an FX8150 on my board working for 4 days.
Uningine Benchmark points lost by arround 500.
GPU Usage on my 6850 wasnt going above 80%on both in BF3.
Other than the serious bottleneck it worked and the common user would not complain.
Thats with the BD working at 4.2Ghz vs my 4.2Ghz Thuban.
Even if the BD has the speed superiority it isnt given use of it, BD needs to use its new instructions set and its cores to shine.
Before headmixer says I dont even own a BD to talk trash about it lemme just put this.
CPU Z validation FX8150
BD needs tweaks to work properly performance wise.

I suppose its a fair comparison giving the thuban a 1000mhz OC and the FX a 600mhz OC... Not to mention a lot of FX's go 4.6ghz... on air... thumb.gif

Let me ask you this: If the 8150 can barely keep up with the Thubans and Denebs, what does that mean for the rest of the FX series? Do the lower end FX processors match up with their Phenom II counterparts?

EDIT: Also, what happens when you compare the 1100T with it's exact match in the FX series, the 6100? They have almost the exact same specs except for the different architecture. I sense some bulldozer failure in that match up.

LOL I love it when trolls change the subject... But I will take the bait. No, like I said earlier, the 960T is the best choice for lower priced AMD. FX-8120 is the only FX I would recommend, and I would only do that if the person didnt want an i5-2500k and needed it for highly threaded workloads.

The FX wasnt OC'ed lol rolleyes.gif
Im not trying to compare and Im not saying its bad, in its stock form it does not perform.
It needs tweaks a.k.a. OC tongue.gif
Also talking about fair comparison, we got an "8" core processor versus a 6 core processor, talking about speeds yea the BD can push alot more Mhz compared to Thuban do you require me to do a 5Ghz(BD) Uningine with GPU activity, plus BF3 GPU activity to compare scores/frames/GPU usage?
Anyway
In an old thread I saw a guy that owned an FX6100 @ 5Ghz, he did Cinebench on it, I saw his scores and run Cinebench on my Phenom II and posted the results.
The OP of that thread flamed me:thumb:
Wanna try n guess the outcome?
It wasnt fair for the Phenom but still...smile.gif

Look what happens when you compare the 1100T to its exact match in the FX series, the 6100. They have the exact same specs save the different architecture:

http://www.guru3d.com/article/amd-fx-8150--8120-6100-and-4100-performance-review/5

This is another problem with the FX series. When you line up the FX series and the Phenom II series spec for spec, the Phenom II's always come out on top. The only reason that the 8150 and 8120 beat the 1100T/1090T in some tests is because they have two more cores and are clocked higher.
