X1600Pro 256mb or a 6600gt - both good cards, your CPU still holds up as a decent rig, OC it a bit more.

Yeah those ASUS boards are great! You should be able to get to at least 3.6GHz or so I would imagine, depending upon temperatures and CPU cooling and also the CPU revision

Well you don't specify your RAM..but given you most likely have 2x512Mb ??

I would be looking at either the 7600GT or to lessen the cost the 7600GS, which willl yield you only marginally lower performance...The ATI X1600pro is just not in the race here...( and that is comming from someone who so much want's to get back to ATI )

As for the manufacturer, just choose the best cheapest package to suit.

Yes its 2x512mb, I will add 2x512mb later. As for the cpu 3.2ghz is summer overclock, it will be over 3.5 when the temperature fall down a little bit.
And I made up my mind, Ill put my old nvidia geforce2 in for now and wait some time till 7600gt gets cheaper or when Ill need to work with some graphic application...
Thank you all for your help.

i think you are talking about the 7600gs with ddr3 memory, which is quite hard to find. most 7600gs have ddr2 mems which put its performance far from the 7600gt if you however find a 7600gs sample with ddr3, then by all means, get it

The 7600GT is probably your best value. An x1600PRO really is far out of it; it's not for nothing they're $80 on newegg, and $120 in Canada, compared to $120 7600GT's on newegg($180 in Canada).

Gainward Bliss 7600GS, or Leadtek 7600GT AGP.
