Prime95 freeze after 9 hours

Thread Starter
as the title says, my oc crashed after 9 hours of stress testing
everything was fine temp wise, max temp on a core was 59c all of a sudden i hear a 'click' and the pc freezes
i oc'd my chip to 4.2GHz with 1.3V, under load
i ran the quick 30 min 1344 FFt and 1792 FFT beforehand which it passed fine
what could be the problem? voltage? if it was voltage normally a thread would fail or something or BSOD
mine is one rubbish chip ive got to say, didnt do too good in the silicon lottery...

This is why we recommend running Prime 12-24 hours. Were you running Blend test?

What was the BSOD number? If its 124 then thats a lack of voltage.

i was running custom blend test, 6500mb ram

there was no BSOD, windows just froze after i heard the 'click' sound - sound was heard through the speaker
