If you want deferred AA you need vram, but FXAA works out pretty well and I don't feel like shelling out for a 6950 2gb to play 1 game.
I mentioned already that at high settings and 1920x1080 I can get about 35 FPS (although for a short duration of less than a minute), and my ~1.3 GB of VRAM is just as quality as anyone else 1.3 GB of VRAM, old card or not. BF3 has very good GPU processing optimization, but the point of topic is that either the vram optimization sux or there is a problem that needs to get patched ASAP.
