Have you found filters to fit?

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what fan filters would be suitable for the TH10 case? I know DEMCIFLEX makes custom fan filters for entire cases and am wondering if anyone has had this done?

I haven't tried them personally, but I know some people do use them. Hopefully someone can chime in with their experiences with them.

No I haven't tried them although I did buy some 360 demciflex filtesr a while back but they didn't fit my intended use - to be honest with the TX10 there's so much to filter that I figure I'm not going to bother and will just get a bunch of koolance quick releases so I can easily take out each radiator in turn and dust them off outside with the datavac.

My smaller cousin to your TH10, M10... but I think results will be pretty much the same..

I tried demcifilters, I think they are alright if you have a serious dust problem... ie; you put your case on the floor with carpeting..

They will block the flow a little bit, the mesh is very fine, but they are excellent for keeping the dust out, note that you will have to create a positive pressure environment inside your case for maximum effectiveness, negative pressure will work but just not as good.

Here is a rough estimate of my results when I used them..

800-900RPM with filter, expect a 3-4c difference..
1200+ RPM with filter, expect a 2c difference..

Another thing is.. Its almost impossible to place them all inside of the case, at least I could not have done so without modding the case.. mesh panel covers, screws that holds the flex bays in place, which leads to not being able to snap the outer panel completely in place with filters inside, placing them all outside made the case look a bit odd, not a problem if your case is under your desk and you don't look at it or just don't care...

I ended up removing them and using black aluminum meshed filters directly screwed into all my fans and then put on the panels, they don't block out the dust as good but temperature was only 1-2c difference with this new method, dust is somewhat manageable around my workstation so I'd stick with this plan..

I don't have recent pics with the new dust covers, but there are some with demcifilters installed in my build log, look towards the end of the thread..

Well I ordered a 120MM filter and a 480 Radiator Filter, managed to mount the 480 rad filter underneath the bottom intake of the case and it worked reasonably well. The 120MM however wasn't so lucky since it covered the fan mounting holes. I think I might have to e-mail DEMCIFLEX and see if they can make me some filters for this case. I live near a well trafficked road so dust is a major concern.

I got some of the DEMCIflex filters and cut them a bit to get a nice clean look. It's an option, but remember aluminum isn't a ferrous metal so you'll need to use the magnet it comes with.

how good do they work at keeping dust and dog or cat hair out if you have them?

I live in an urban environment on a busy street surrounded by cats and chain smokers; filters are mandatory for me. I used Apevia fan mesh filters attached directly to the fan and mounted Modright square filters to the front of the case, behind the front plate. The round Modrights might look better but are about a mm thicker. The front cover still bows out slightly, being pushed by the filter mesh. I'm thinking about hot gluing a piece of ABS plastistruct L channel to the back of the front cover to prevent the bowing. Also had to replace the factory thumbscrews with 6/32 by 1/2 to make up for the filter depth. Used a DEMCIflex on the power supply. By far not the most elegant of solutions but keeps out the dust with minimal thermal impact. I used the round Modrights on my 3 bottom intake fans (because I bought them). A DEMCIflex 360 would probably be nicer there. I used the Apevia mesh mostly to cut out some of the fan led glow and to add some visual depth to the front.

I don't have cats now, they passed away from old age.. During the period I had them, both the demcifilter and these generic aluminium filters worked fine, The demcifilters worked better at the cost of a little penalty to flow, the generic filters worked but a small amount of dust does manage to pass through, nothing that a can of air cant handle every few months.

Biggestinsect method would work better if you are using LED fans, I think the generic aluminium filters would look rather ugly if you can see them.. Since my fans are GT15's, It does not bother me as much..
