PC Power &Cooling silencer 610w enough for CF unlocked 6950's?

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,
My other unlocked 6950 showed up today. I'm going to do some preliminary testing with it by itself, but I was wanted to test out crossfire.
However, I don't feel like swapping in my new silencer 760w in to this case as it's going into my new build, not to mention they're both non modular so cable management is a pain, however, I have to do it since I have little ones.

I was reading earlier that running furmark, 6970's draw about 550w or 45.8 Amps. The 610w pumps out 588w or 49A on the +12v (single rail). However, I've been noticing that furmark is not a realistic power draw usage in gaming, that is absolute MAX that it would pull.

So do y'all think that the Silencer 610w will suffice for regular gaming with my sig rig?

Yes, you'll be fine smile.gif

You'll be fine as long as you're not doing any extreme OC'ing.

I believe this will be fine considering quality 650watts handle this kind of load and PCPC makes quality PSUs even though it's a 610w

It'd be fine 95% of the time but there's always moments where power peaks and that's when it might fail. No way to know until you try it out yourself.
