Vista RC1 install

Thread Starter
What do you recomend? Install Vista as an upgrade to XP Pro or clean install to another partition ( ex. D: while XP is on C: ) or clean install only with Vista RC1? Is there anything important that I should do in any scenario (ex. in dual booting)? Then, which AntiVirus to choose, is Win FireWall good enough to replace ZoneAlarm or Kerio and what about Virtual drives (ex. Daemon tools) is any working? Thanks.

Just make a seperate partition for Vista, It si supposed to let you choose at startup, which one you want to boot in to. I'm trying mine monday (when my new hdd comes in) About the antivirus, I like Avast! antivirus, it's "clean" looking and does it's job well.

Ok, I cleaned up D: for Vista (30Gb) and only have to wait to download few things from net then install Vista. Ok Avast for AntiVirus, but what about FireWall and some Virtual drive? Is latest Nero 7.5.1.1 working with RC1? Thing I hate is I have to wait not only end of Jan but more likely Feb for thrue 64-bit apps for x64 Vista, when they'll be fully compatibile and working just fine.

ZoneAlarm seems to be the best free firewall everywhere I look, so I'd say go with that.

I am currently using ZoneAlarmPro but in Vista Advisor it said that isn't compatibile with Vista and Ewido with Vista. Everythig else should work. I have NOD32, not one alert from Advisor, later to find out on net that isn't for Vista!!
