We're talking 2 different things. Desktop clockspeeds are a non-issue, they'll hit whatever they need to Crossfire with a lower-midrange 7000 series card. I was talking laptop Llano, the A6-3400M is a 1.4ghz quad (1.6 max quad-turbo), A8-3500M is 1.6ghz quad (1.8 quad-turbo). ALL Llanos have a very tweaked Stars (Phenom II) core. Recall that Phenom II clocks are a lot lower than Bulldozer clocks. It follows Llano clocks are lower than Bulldozer.

Do note that the MX Llano APUs are pretty much vaporware (show me a laptop with an A8-3510MX - there's very few). And the A4's are dual-cores, with really slow GPUs. Mobile APUs are all about the quads.

That doesn't make sense, if the 32nm process improves enough to make Trinity to reach higher clocks than Llano, then there could surely be a respin of Llano on the improved node making the gains similar? The fixes here must come from refinements in the architecture, I really hope they have tightened up the cache timings by a fair amount and hopefully even made power consumption improvements.

The process doesn't have as much to do with architecture as far as clocks go in this case. BD was designed from the ground up to be high clocking.

While the llano (A6) quad cores might only be released at 1.4-1.6GHz they clock up to 2.3 GHz on the same voltage. I wouldn't be surprised if Trinity quads were clocked 2.5+ from the get go.
