[Legit Reviews] Corsair Performance Pro vs Corsair Force 3 GT

As the landscape of SSD drives continues to evolve, it becomes more difficult for consumers to discern the good drives from the not so good and which ones offer a good value. To make it tougher, many manufacturers have several different lines of drives that offer various levels of performance. Corsair is one such manufacturer and they've sent us over three drives to test out around the same time so we thought it'd be good to do a roundup to give some head to head comparisons. We have a pair of SandForce based Force GT drives - one at 180GB and a larger one at 240GB. Also in the mix is a single Performance Pro 256GB drive which has the latest Marvell controller. All three have a SATA III interface and a three-year warranty.

The rest of the review is located here.

A good read for those who are just learning about ssd and how they work. Despite the Sandforce based drives superior specs on paper, real world usage shows the Marvell based Performance Pro has no problem at all matching it.

Yes it does. I'm at the point where I'm just going to reformat it and see if it still does this BS. Should've gotten an M4 :/

The performance pro 128gb drive is having a deal going on right now for $168. Not bad considering it's in the realm of hte crucial m4.

Why? It uses the same controller, you'd barely notice any difference whatsoever.

That's only because it has a stronger following, thus more users to gather data on it. The Performance Pro should be exactly as reliable.
