I've had an M4A79XTD-EVO mobo build with an AMD Phenom II x4 955 for about a year now, no hardware problems or anything like that. Last night XP started displaying error messages stating all these different processes had encountered a serious error, then went to a black screen from which I had to hard reset using the power button.

Now whenever I try to boot, one of the following happens:

Windows 7 boot manager will sometimes flake out with hatched scanning grey lines much like a broken LCD monitor

When trying to boot from Windows 7 or Windows XP, neither OS makes it past the initial "Starting Windows..." screen

My BIOS settings will reset to default or fail to write/read resulting in black screen or message prompt

When trying to boot from CD/DVD I get a "BAD_POOL_CALLER" BSOD or a black unresponsive screen

I'm at a loss of what to do, so any help or insightful knowledge at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
