I believe both these will power my system. Which one if noise while at load while gaming is a concern?

I know the Kingwin is quieter, but enough to justify higher price? I think they are both pretty quiet, and Seasonic has a great rep.

The price went back up on the Kingwin to $160.

I'm thinking about the Seasonic

However, we're only talking $20. If noise is my concern, will the extra $20 be worth it to get

The Kingwin is the better unit and indeed quieter(fanless operation upt to 500/550W output).. but I don't think that justifies the price difference... at similar prices or a <10$ difference, by all means go for the Kingwin, otherwise the X650 is an excellent unit too..

Neither. You want the Corsair AX650 (which is a Seasonic X660 inside, which is just a slight revision on the X650), since that's cheaper at $127.49 shipped after promo code, before the mail-in rebate. AX650 uses the same San Ace fan inside and fanless mode like the Seasonic X Series, but you get the nice flat modular cable set and a 7-year warranty.

Kingwin Lazer Platinum is maybe a bit better and a little quieter, but not significantly at the loads you'll be pulling with your system. Chances are, if you can get an X / AX series power supply fan to ramp up, you've got other more significant noise sources to worry about. And it's not worth the price difference and not having Corsair post-sale support and the 4 extra years on the warranty.

Jump on it quick as the promo code ends today.

Kingwin is a better unit, but only if you can get it cheaper. Otherwise Seasonic wins because of price tag.

I've always been one to suggest Seasonic because they're awesome personally.

As someone said already, grab the AX650 instead of the X650, its cheaper and pretty much same unit. Also when you are at load, and the fans on your psu is spinning i guarantee you won't hear it at all, as your GPU will be screaming already. I got a AX850 and never heard from it because at idle the fan doesn't spin, and at load while gaming/stress test my GPU's fan is louder than anything in the nearest 1 mile radius mad.gif

If you were to spend 160 dollars on the Kingwin, I would just buy a 750w psu with that money, as it gives you options in the future to SLI your GTX 570 when it becomes cheaper. Why limit yourself now? You got a SLI board and an excellent cpu which can run SLI cards with ease.

The AX750 also have a 15% PROMO code and $20 rebate!!!

@mikeaj
I agree with you mate.
Corsair ax650 is the best choice + it has 7years warranty.
Seasonic x650 is my second recommendation.
Tell me one thing guys,do you all actually able to hear psu's fan noise?
I dont hear any noise at all from my Corsair gs600.
