After receiving many request from our community members for a Mumble server we have finally obtained a fully functional working server!
1. What is Mumble?
Mumble is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service that works much like Skype, Ventrilo and Teamspeak.
It is an application that allows groups of individuals to vocally converse with one another. Mumble is mainly used for general chit chat and gaming aids.
2. What are the requirements for me to use Mumble?
All you need to do is download the Mumble software: HERE (Windows).
No registration is necessary to enter our server. Currently our server is open to the public.
3. How do I connect to the server and what are the server details?
Once you run the Mumble software simply follow these steps to enter our server (Windows):
3.1 Open your Mumble client by selecting the Mumble program (in your task manager).

3.2 Once you have the software open click on the 'Server' text in the top left corner. This will produce a drop down box, select the first option named 'Connect'.

3.3 A new box will open. You will see a box labelled 'Add New...'. Select this button.

3.4 You will now see a 'Add Server' box appear that looks similar to the one in the image below.

3.5 The information you need to enter in here is as follows:
Label: You can type anything you want in here. This is so every time you open up Mumble you will see your saved server as this label, in this example Overclock.net. Ultimately it does not matter what you label your servers as, however it may help you to identify servers when you have multiple servers saved on your Mumble software.
Address: ocn.murmur.nfoservers.com
Port: 16420
Username: You can type any name you wish to be identified as in here. It is advisable to type in your forum username here so other community member can identify you as such.
Once you have entered these details click on the 'Ok' box.

3.6 You will now see the listed server under the name you labelled it as. Simply double click on the server to connect or left click on the server to select it and click on the connect button.

3.7 Once you are in the server simply double (left) click on any channel name to join that channel.
3.8 If you wish to keep the username you have selected then simply right click on your name (in the Mumble server) and left click on 'Register'. When this is done, nobody will be able to use your registered username other than you.
4. How to configure Mumble Push-to-Talk
Push talk allows you to speak through your microphone by pushing a keyboard button.
Select the 'Configure menu', then select 'Settings'. Make sure 'Advanced' is checked (bottom left).
Now select your microphone or input device from the drop down menu in the 'Interface' section. Select 'Push To Talk' from the drop down box in the 'Transmission' section. Click 'Shortcuts' on the far left menu. Click 'Add' then choose the function 'Push-to-Talk'. Set your push to talk button by clicking in the white area in the shortcut column.
