24 - 27" 120hz LED backlit gaming monitor

Thread Starter
Looking for a new monitor to replace my old acer 19 incher.

As the title says i'm looking for the following features:

24 - 27" (27 is preferred)
120hz (Nvidia 3D ready not necessary but would be preferred)
LED backlit
1920 x 1080 Native resolution.
Good reputation for not being a pile of junk.
Budget....i'd like to go no higher than 500!

Any recommendations folks?
Thanks!

27" Samsung 750D @ tigerdirect for $399. best 120hz on the market imho. tho not really good for nvidia 3d...but most people don't get 120hz for 3D...

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=982706&CatId=3774

Out of stock...but when its back it should be $399...lowest price after that is like $500 @ buy.com or newegg

if you wanna go dual screens...i say get a Samsung 23" 750D @ $299 from tigerdirect and pair it with 1200p IPS for $250 or so...Dell or HP.

Most people don't get 120hz 3d? What do the normally get?

Call me crazy but I though 120hz was necessary for 3D gaming, or at least it helped it a whole bunch. Thanks a lot for the suggestions!

Do you really need 120hz? Have you ever looked at IPS monitors?

I was looking into monitors about 4 - 5 months ago. And was looking at a few then. I kind of remember determining 120hz would be the better way to go.

my LG 23" 120 hrz is uber fast and great for fps ... but with most 120hrz you forgo accurate coloring, viewing angles, they tend to be xtra bright and some sharp, many have bleeding issues and many folks have had bad pixel problems x months out ... e.g. I have a red one now .. just about a year after purchase.. I just wack the general area and it goes away ...

but 120 hrz for fps ... is a whole new world ...setting vsync on and getting 120 fps is great for fps...

I had an old dell ultrasharp 27" http://www.anandtech.com/show/2204/2 and still have it .. colors are much better even though it was only TFT I belive ...

as for IPS ... I haven't gamed on one ... but am torn b/c I like 23 for fps @120 was thinking of upgrading to a 27 for @120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001472 as I want something bigger for Skyrim and MMOs ...
