A quick SSD Recommendation

Thread Starter
I'm looking at grabbing an SSD today.

Was pretty set on the Crucial M4 128gb for $238, but I was wondering what people thought of the Corsair Force 3 120gb? The price on that one is $193
(prices are Australian, too. Cheaper is obviously a big bonus right now, but I rather quality in the long run)

Any ideas?

They both have good reliability but at this time Crucial M4 is the king imho.

Force 3 is ~ half the speed of the M4...the M4 is worth it.

Yep, you need a Force 3 GT to keep up to then M4. Even then, the m4 reads quicker.

The M4 has been ordered. Will have it tomorrow.

Was a little sceptical after hearing about the reboot bug, but I have faith that will be fixed long before it's an issue for me.
I asked about their return rate, too. He said they've never had one back yet, it's the OCZ's they get pouring back in.

That is an unfortunate but very real situation. Hopefully with the purchase of Indilinx OCZ will step it's game up!

On a better note, congrats on the new M4. I think you will be happy with that purchase.

He's not the first retailer to say that. Another customer that launched a lawsuit in Ontario had info from NCIX that matched.

Amazing how the actual return rate from a retailer is so much different than the builder. Especially the one that a user here said his dept manager got direct from OCZ when he asked them for it. LOL.

Yep, you inquire about purchasing a bunch of drives and you expect them to give you the actual return rate. wink.gif

I wonder how many OCZ drives weren't counted as return by OCZ because they didn't know how to recreate the bug at the time? I remember tech support telling us how many drives they got back that were tested and wasn't anything wrong with them.
