Camtasia studio outputs pictures at wrong Dimensions, help!

I am using Camtasia studio 7.1

I record my video games at mt my screens resolution of 1680x1050.

I then make a Jpeg in Photoshop with the same dimensions and drag and drop it into my clip bin where Camtasia proceeds to make a new section called "images" as it would for video or audio.
When i hover my mouse over the image in the clip bin it shows 1680x1050.
I then drag the image into the video timeline and the picture turns into a 1280x800.
I view/play the timeline and there is an obvious difference between the image size (now with black borders on all sides) and the video.

How can i make the image show in the proper dimensions?
This happens even if i use 1920x1200 for the image.

From the Camtasia forums i got this reply:
"Camtasia, by default behavior , will limit an image's dimensions to about 1280x840; this is done to keep Editor and Previewer performance from slowing down too much.

There is a Camtasia Registry item that can be edited that will let you work with larger format images. Try contacting tech Support.

But perhaps try using Recorder to make a short capture of the image; that will give you an AVI to put on timeline? That should get you around the image size limitation? "

The idea of using the screen recorder to record my still image was helpful, though i would like a more permanent fix.

Send them an email regarding the registry tweak. Otherwise submit a feature request and wait for a new release wink.gif

I assume that you are starting with a project that has a 1650 or 1920x1080 resolution?
