So I "converted" from MW3 to BF3..

Thread Starter
I've played every COD since 4 and absolutely loved them. I tried the BF3 beta and hated the gameplay, the lag, just how unpolished the game seemed. Based on that, I went with MW3.. loved that as well. The gameplay was familiar, I picked up right where I left off with MW2 and had a great time. Then for some reason my NAT switched types and I couldn't get on anymore. I tried tweaking every setting I could find on my router, working with tech support, etc, nothing was working. So for a couple months I didn't play at all-- then my brother in law convinced me to try out BF3. With reluctance, I purchased it and loaded it up. First impression was it is much more polished than the beta (obviously), much more difficult, and very objective-based rather than mainly shoot-em-up run-in-guns-blazing like MW3. I SUCKED for a good few days and now that I've gotten used to the interface (and how to tell enemies apart from friendlies.. which was very difficult at first) and started unlocking some weapons and attachments I'm having a blast.

So yeah, I rescind any negative comments I've made about BF3 in the past. And to hell with MW3, I can't even play it anymore and to be honest I'm not missing it.

Switching from COD to BF is a hard process. But congratulations for making the change. BF3 wasn't nominated for GOTY for nothing tongue.gif

I'm a semi convert as well. Coming from COD to BF3 was awesome. I was stunned at the map sizes, vehicles, everything. It was so different from the spawn rush die spawn thing. Now when I'm trying to play COD it's like I played this? Besides Origin, I love the game, it's doubtful I'll ever get a COD again.

I tried I even didn't buy mw3 for a while so I could play bf3 more but I just don't get the attraction.

This is why Battlefield is what it is. Nothing like teamwork and strategic gameplay. Its kinda fun not dying every 30 seconds to some hacker/glitcher. thumb.gif

As in you didn't like BF3? Every man to himself I guess.

I think I saw a buddy's head explode when I showed him BF3 on PC... he was trying to convince me to buy COD for the PS3 and my response was to show him some battlefield. thumb.gif He couldn't come up with a good reason as to why I should get COD at that point, in fact he could hardly put together a proper sentence.

Be glad BF3 is cod-ish. The switch from CoD to BF2 would be like a punch to the face.

Anyway, good that you're enjoying it. Its much more team and objective focused (also better graphics).
