Single Graphics Card for FFXIV in medium-high settings in 1080p.

Thread Starter
So I'm building a rig for my cousin after he saw my new one and he's a rabid FFXIV fan and pretty much is either playing that or homework he's given me a somewhat limited budget to work with about $1200 bucks without including a monitor or Windows. So here's my question, he wants to max out graphics as much as possible but I don't want to bottle neck his system by buying something like a GTX580/HD7970 and skimping on everything else so here's what I have so far.

He like dmy case so (these are rough numbers rounding the cents):
Fractal Arc Midi-$100
i5 2500K- $220
Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB-$50
Hyper 212+- $25 (the EVo price went up withing the last week which sucks)
Crucial M4 64GB Drive - $105
Rosewill Capstone 650W- $90
Asus DVD Burner/Drive- $20
ASrock Extreme 3 Gen 3 $140

This is assuming he salvages an HDD from his old computer if not Id have to account that price in too probably but ever since prices doubled I've refused to buy any.

So summed up thats $750 + 100 for a 750GB HDD should I need to buy one.

Leaving $350 ($450 without HDD) for a card, I'm not partial to ATI or Nvidia and he won't mind either so what would you suggest as a single card solution as we can;t be bothered by the hassles of multiple cards?

Thanks for the help guys (Suggestions at both price points would be amazing thanks)

Just get the best you can for close to 350?

Atm that'd be a.. 6970 or 570
or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500231
because it comes with a free copy of BF3, and is very close in performance

Also if you don't need to buy the HDD and end up with 450 you could wait for the 7950s to drop.
