[Work Log] Red Devil Facelift

Hi everyone. I just wanted to give a quick log of a facelift I completed on my rig.
I started this little upgrade because I am going to a big LAN party (Lanwar) and I didn't want to go with the same old rig I took last year. 700
This is my old build. A Corsair Obsidian D800. As this isn't really about the hardware of my computer I will omit a parts list, but if you want a parts list ask and ye shall receive.

Anyway, back to the story.
I was considering doing a small case mod and adding a 280mm radiator to the bottom where the hard drive rack is. But the more I thought about it the more it seamed inadequate and pointless. It wouldn't really look any different and therefore wouldn't make much of an impression especially considering I am going to be surrounded by all my friends that have some pretty amazing builds. Most notably my brother and his Custom Copper rig (which is now complete... he just hasn't updated his log because he is out of the country at the moment) and my friend Fat Italian Stallion and his Project Liquid Death rig

It had to be something that could hold its own against these sexy rigs and not detract from their beauty and power by it's boring ugliness.
As I was discussing the options with my brother and Stallion, I was really considering going with a Danger Den tower 29 but that would feel to much like copying Stallion's build. Then my brother and Stallion reminded me of a case I almost got for my last build but I cheaped out and didn't get it...a Little Devil. As I looked at it and bit my fingernails over the cost, I slowly fell in love with it and had to have it.
516 Euros and 1 month later it was here. My very own red Little Devil.
700
700

Two days, a near panic attack over a bad seal on my reservoir, and a lot of cussing later, I finally emerged with the finished product
700

700

I know its not as flashy as my brother's Custom Copper or as powerful and elegant as Fat Italian Stallion's Liquid Death. But it is just as unique in its own way and I hope it will stand proudly with them at Lanwar this weekend.

Glad you finally got it running. I'm ready to see this thing over the weekend. Any other plans for it? More rads, fans, sleeving, etc?

hopefully over the next year i plan to replace the 360 rad on the bottom with 2 black ice GTX 480s + add another GPU but as it stands i just cant justify spending any more money on it in the short term. I might catch a wild hair 1 day though and get a good 1000W modular psu and do custom wiring.

Not a bad idea. Really no point to add any more at the moment. Need moar gpu power to justify the cooling. Since ur picking up a new psu sleeving the fans would be my first venture.

How does it compare to ur 800d?

well in my opinion the 800 D was a very user friendly case and Very good for newcomers to the water cooling world the panels are easy to remove lots of places to put your wiring and plenty of roon for a 360 rad on the inside and w/e you want on the outside. But it is very bland and in the end restrictive if you want to do anything really serious.
The little devil was a bit more of a pain to deal with you have to have cable extenders to really reach most of the case and it docent give you very much room to work with to run and hide your wiring because the pedestal and the top are 2 peaces so u cant just run them state up the back like I did on the 800D you have to go up through a small opening wards the front or just run them streight up thrugh the floor of the case for all the world to see. But the case is striking in its elegant and simplistic beauty (imo)and definitely has a lot more room for a real water cooling enthusiast. I guess just like my girlfriend. She has a bit of a temper and if you aren't careful with her she get mad at you but at the end of the day I love this case and it is worth any minor inconveniences.
