Best place online to buy CHEAP camera batteries.

Just bought a budget point and shoot camera for my upcoming trip to Disneyland today. I ended up settling on a Canon PowerShot A2200 and so far i love it for the steal of a price i got it all for.Although i haven't tested the battery life to its extent yet, i would still like to pick up an extra or two for my trip, thus if it forgets to get charged in the moterhome overnight, or if i decide to do a lot of video. So all in all, i am looking for the best place to get a few more batteries, weather they be Canon or a name brand (not so big on cheap knock offs but they may be considered.

It uses a Canon NB-8L battery. (3.6V 740mAh)(Li-ion)

Any ideas? Already checked Monoprice and newegg but neither carry any other brands.

eBay! Get one of the Chinese / Hong Kong ones. I used them for every phone I have ever owned without a problem.

Just double check the specs of the battery they might try to sell you a lower powered battery.

Well i leave for Disney in less than 4 weeks, big buyer and seller on ebay so i don't mind that at all but worried bout the delivery time. I'm still waiting on a few things from the China areas that i ordered in Nov and Dec.

Also I'm seeing alot of "Overpowered" batteries, (extra amps) more than i see "underpowered" That kind of worries me with it being a new camera, id hate to see it overheat or something.

Was thinking about that, anyone have any specific links of the batteries like mine or the sellers on amazon they used?

With cameras such as these, getting a larger amperage (Ah, or mAh) shouldn't be an issue, besides size issues.

You definitely don't want a higher voltage battery, though.

Getting a larger rated capacity battery is actually the way to go, amperage will measure runtime, while voltage will more or less, in laymans terms, describe just how much 'oomph' the power has.

Not sure how else to explain it.

If it's a 1000mAh (or 1Ah) pack, and yours is rated at 740, sounds like it'd be a tight fit, if anything.

Don't worry mAh is just how long the battery will last basically. I have a 3500mAh one for my Droid X. Stock being 1500mAh.

Just search for US Seller...

That I'm aware of, just worried i guess. I may just buy a few and take a chance then. For the ones i found, i could buy like 3 and if only 1 were to work, I'd be happy.

It'll work perfectly, and will last longer.. if it's what they rate it at.

Many knockoffs over-rate their batteries... And may only get 800-900 out of them, while others are amazing, and will actually get 1000.
Luck of the draw, or you may get 1000mAh out of them, but will only last a few weeks..

I have used sterlingteks in my DSLRs and was quite happy. Had two with my 50D and they outlasted the Canon OEM versions and are pretty cheap and caused 0 issues. They have a pretty good following over on POTN and I haven't seen any bad threads on them (a very whiny group over there)
