GTX 560Ti SLI? Or go for 7xxx series card?

Hello OCN,

So a few months ago I replaced my 6850 and got myself a EVGA 560Ti 1gb @ 900mhz. Now with all the hype about the 7xxx series, makes me wonder what I'll do in the future.

Should I save the money and go for a 560Ti SLI Set-up? Or Attempt to sell the 560ti and get myself a 7xxx series card.
I'm not a hardcore gamer with a lot of games that are too graphic demanding in fact I only have Batman for now since I got it with the purchase of my card.. I also own StarCraft II.. lol XD.

I do plan on getting BF3, and hearing that it's so graphic demanding, and with the fact that I will be running on dual monitors... I don't know if my card can handle it on the settings I desire!

Anyone out there with a 560ti SLI set-up can give me some info? Is it worth the investment to get a 2nd card? smile.gif

My 1st monitor has a 1920x1080 resolution, while my 2nd monitor is a old monitor with no led back-light running @ 1366x768 resolution. (I think.)

To sum it up..

1) Would a single GTX 560Ti Factory clocked @ 900mhz run BF3 well in high settings? With 2 monitors (Pretty sure I can't run it on ultra:()
2) Should I SLI the 560Ti in the future? Or Try to sell it and go for the 7xxx series card.

Man, I am in the boat as you. I was going to go sli this last weekend but after reading all the early reviews I decided to scratch sli and go with a 7xxx card instead. I bought myself a nice little ssd boot drive instead and now I might try to sell my 560ti.

High should be fine, Ultra on MP is going to be VRAM bound.

Unless you already have the 2gb version I would sell the 560ti and get the 7970 or pick up a used 6970 (or two even).

BF3 and a few others are the only things that will VRAM limit you so its up to you if its worth the money.

My 570's have decent FPS but on Ultra I get VRAM stutter so even my 1.28 gb of ram isn't enough for BF3 on MP on large maps (no Ultra for me). If you're a casual player than it might not be worth the cost to upgrade.
