I'm running out of ideas how to improve my current OC.
AMD Phenom II X4 965
Scythe Mugen 2 rev.B
4x 1GB G.Skill PC-6400 DDR2-800
Running on a Be Quiet Straight Power 500w PSU, inside an Antec 300 case, video coming from a Radeon 6850 running at 915/1145
Currently it's all running on the following speeds:
FSB at 247mhz
CPU MP at x17.5
CPU is at 4088.5mhz
RAM is at 495.6mhz
NB is at 1734.5mhz
HT Link is at 991.1
DRAM mode = DDR2-800
DRAM voltage 2.0v
CPU Temp Idle 35*C
CPU Full Load Prime 95 55*C
My main goal is to increase benchmarks in Everest concerning the memory read/write/etc speeds.
They are currently:
i've been trying to get more performance.
Raising the FSB will cause Prime95 to crash.
Raising the NB Multiplier from x7 won't let the system boot.
Lowering it to x6 gives me 1498mhz. Raising the FSB further won't let the system boot.
I can put the DRAM in DDR2-1066 mode with the same timings, however I can only increase the FSB to 205 before the system won't boot. Leaving the FSB and increasing the NB Multiplier from x8 (standard) to x9 gives me 1800mhz on the NB, but it won't boot. Putting the DRAM in 533 mode, leaving the FSB at 200 and the NB Multiplier at x8 gives me seriously less performance at the Everest Benchmark.
Raising the CPU MP will cause Prime95 to crash. I concider around 4100mhz the limit for the CPU, all i'm aiming at is better performance in memory-speeds.
I need your suggestions guys! what would you do at this point?
edit: had to lower the FSB to 245mhz, couple of hours of CoD:MW3 caused the system to crash and now it runs fine.
