hey guys
i got 2 sticks of ‎2x2GB G.Skill Ripjaws X Edition Dual Channel CL7-8-7-24‎[F3-12800CL7D-4GBXM] and a z68 mb so after i plugged them in my pc didnt boot up..there was nothing on the screen so after i switched to other memory type to this one:
‎3x2GB Patriot Extreme Performance Triple Channel CL8-8-8-24‎[‎PVT36G1600LLK‎]
it worked great...how is the possible?in gskill website they say they support z68 chipset..

Bad memory modules? Try exchanging them for new ones, stuff happens.

When you install that G.Skill memory did you firmly push it down and let the clip to secure on its own?

Make sure you got the channel arrangement right.... RTFM if not sure. Which Z68 board did you get?

I had the exact same thing happen with my board.
Tried the G.Skill Ripjaws and it wouldn't boot so I put it different RAM and it booted right up.
However, once I got past that initial first boot I was able to put my Ripjaws back in and they've been great since.
Try putting your original sticks back in and it may work. If not then you might have gotten a bad set of sticks. Have you tried one at a time?

flip-flop RAM in the current slots.. see if it boots.

*my Asus does it to me regularly.. just doesnt like one stick in primary slot... works great and OC like a champ once i flip them around though.

Always push it down and let the clip secure on its own. I made the same mistake couple years ago.
