Yeah, but I personally prefer to overclock for efficiency, not just stats.

not so much, sb-e has problems with extreme cold i.e. -70c and greater, just like some sb cpu's.

phase is the way to go benching these chips or maybe a dual stage cascade if tuned right.

I had runmc build me a 300 watt ss and it does very well with sb-e, a bit cold for sb though but it still works no problem:thumb:

here are some quick and dirty runs I did last week before I sold that chip, I had to test under 3D for the seller as I had never benched any 3D with it.

and a little wprime for fun on the wrong os, such bad efficiency lol

I just tried to look up the url and it said Page not found, and after looking at the screen shot now, I am sure it is because I was not running a WHQL driver, rather a beta (285.27 maybe?).

those three benches took maybe 20 minutes, I just threw my cpu under the phase with a half ass*d insulation job and did those for the buyer of that cpu.

never knew the chip had a working x57 multi, I had to manually set all of the cores (non adjustable in the os) and simply set vcore to 1.655 in BIOS, so no optimization or anything just looking for the max stable 3D clocks:thumb:

He Probably had to lock two cores to be able to push the OC that High..
