edit here; seriously considering opening the son of a razer up, and putting some tape between the contact from the button and the microswitch .. and sanding down THE LIP

That sounds nothing like what I can produce. Sounds like yours is broken.

G400
the sound I can produce without clicking

The IEM3.0 and every other mouse I own have the same phenomenon.

I've been through four G400s now. My current one is prediction free. All four had loose mouse buttons. If you lightly tap the button it will rattle. If you llift mouse and put down with any reasonable force, the buttons rattle. Heck, my latest one rattles if you breath on it.

The only way to fix is to open up and physically bend the button plate back before re-assembling. A temp solution that I use on Logitech mice is to place a thin slither of folded scotch tape under the plastic strip above each button.

Does g400 have memory? If I will configure it via software to let's say 1800 DPI and 500hz and remove drivers, are this settings still active?

Also feel free to PM me your opinions about g400 without angle snapping if you own one wink.gif

No onboard memory. The drivers need to remain installed to use 500hz and a different default dpi setting.

1800 DPI is one of the defaults, you won't be able to use 500hz though without the software. Why not just use 1000hz? o.O

I posted it just as an example. I'm quite strong for g400 now, just dunno which version to take, prediction or not.
If you're considering both go prediction free.
Think twice, G400 with prediction will be considered rare collector item in few years wink.gif .
