Don't waste your time with it.

Grooveshark isn't meant to be a source to download music, only stream it. It was actually VERY useful before Google Music came around. You can create a playlist at home with your favorite music and listen to it at work, or on the drive if you have a smartphone that can run the website.

Hmmm... So its used to listen to music I have on my PC? Maybe that's why I couldn't find any music on it. I was simply using it wrong.

No... you can stream ANY song that it has in its database. It's not what's on your computer. Maybe they've shut down until this is resolved? Edit: Nope, works fine for me.

Honestly, what do people car anymore. Spotify is better and the as aren't unbearable. In addition the Spotifiy membership is the same cost as a grooveshark membership and gives you way more.

I do understand though the whole premise of this is the issue, but sadly that is a more fundamental issue of the law not being refreshed to more accurately reflect modern times, and businesses exploiting that. It happens in every industry truly.

Services like grooveshark which hid behind DMCA safe harbor provisions in a way they weren't meant to be used are part of the reason that we now are looking at SOPA.

£97,270 per song? Really? That is just too greedy. Something like £5 - £10 per song I can understand if they haven't been paying royalties but almost £100K is just going over the top, and the sad thing is the record labels will win this lawsuit.
