Just go to show you what fanboys fall for.rolleyes.gif
Joe Schmoe doesn't have a clue what's in his Ibadge, nor does he care.As long as it's overpriced and slick with the Apple logo.

Also f.y.i-Apple has been using ATI/AMD products for a looong time.

most people that buy apple dont have a clue of whats inside.

2. The intergrated graphics would have to be better than Intels integrated graphics.
If AMD can do this then I see no reason for them not to. I mean they could probably make more profit because AMD cpus are cheaper than Intels. Seeing as Apple loves making money that would be enough reason if the 2 reasons above were met to make the switch.
All in all I dont see this happening though.

Yes AMD integrated graphics are a lot better and they just made advancements for mobile products at like 7 watts or something like that. AMD is doing very well in the mobile market right now.

Yes most apples do use amd radeon graphics cards but with amd now massively improving with cpu and gpu power in the apu department and work even better with another discrete graphics card in them apple may be on to something here.

Instead of going the cpu and discrete gpu way and just go apu way, apple could make huge profits off this without customers even noticing any change in performance. Or giving the customer a better deal for the same products.

Personally I really dont like apple at all. I despise their OS. Personally I just like to hear about the underdog making moves in the forward direction. In this case (AMD). If it was the other way around then I would say the same about intel.

I just like to see competition between companies when it comes to tech.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard.

AMD is really innovating the industry with their fusion APU's. Intel CANNOT compete with the iGPU of an AMD apu. You are totally judging a book by its cover before the actual product is even out. Admit that you are totally biased against AMD and thats the reason you wouldnt buy it. I understand where you are coming from because I refuse to buy anything from Intel. Who is to say the apu they choose to put in there if from AMD isnt totally kick butt?

Im sure AMD is done making mobile cpu's and will only make apu's for mobile from here on out. It has been said that Trinity is going to be 15% better on the cpu side and 30% better for the iGPU. As stated, if they can get these things to be power efficient then I see no reason for Apple to NOT use AMD.

As much as it would seem possible I doubt it.

In fact I think Nvidia will be the next gpu for into macbooks:

399

That was the last slide in the NVIDIA conference.

IDK why Apple would not use AMD integrated gpus instead.

That depends on why you're buying a laptop in the first place. I would buy a MacBook Pro just for the display if I needed to mobilize my photo editing. If I wanted to play games on a laptop, I would consider the latter, despite the fact that you're basically throwing away mobility in the name of power.

Just to let you know that AMD apus are unbelievably better than Intels apus. When it comes to apus AMD is the premium choice. ^^ is what a fan boi says. Both intel and amd have great products. You just need to do the research which ^^ obviously hasnt been done here.

I am pretty sure that apple does offer choices with nvidia cards. Not sure but I was there the other day looking at what they had in them and im pretty sure i seen a few option with GTXM cards in them.

I agree, I think apple can make huge profits and at the same time lower their prices if they used amd apus.
