Once again, proof?

Something that you've failed to provide when accusing the typical Mac user of being illiterate of computers. As Tedman said, your personal experience with your friends in the middle of nowhere isn't indicative of what real professionals in the industry use.

You made a statement, therefore you need to prove it. I've asked you at least three times now and you haven't. Well, anything beyond circumstantial evidence.

Some ignorant people tried to claim that the typical mac user is a bumbling idiot when it comes to computers though. I don't know how you can call professionals who use a BSD system illiterate of computing but some kid's anecdotal evidence of his friend not knowing how to install Bootcamp seems to be enough evidence for the typical OCN Apple basher to make it fact.

My grandma uses Linux now, does that mean she's automatically a professional? No. It doesn't.
You are yet to provide me with any proof beyond your own anecdotal and circumstantial evidence, yet you call me out for it? The burden of proof is on you.

Actually, I don't have the 9600m because mine is the normal MacBook (not Pro), albeit the same chassis as the 13" MacBook Pro. The Pro's of the late 2008 era had the 9600M GT with 512MB VRAM.

Currently the aluminium from this laptop is making my legs freeze lol. It does eventually get warm, yes, but so does every other laptop I've ever owned.

Don't tell me that other manufacturer's s**t don't stink - If I had a penny for every non-Apple laptop that had overheating issues, I'd be a millionaire!

Oh, I know. Dell and HP are (Usually) horrible for it. My Samsung's HD545v even crashes if I run it too hard for too long too. (Only with Minecraft at Max FPS though, but putting it on vsync or power saver fixes that) Makes me wish for the older days of IBM Thinkpads, a 1.8Ghz Northwood and it doesn't overheat or get too loud.

And the main problem with the aluminium (Whether its Apple or whoever) is that when the laptop is running a decent load, it can get very very hot.

And the reason I wouldn't count yours in the overheating issue is that the 9600m is a far bigger and much hotter running GPU than the 9400m, that's what I meant anyway.

So you have owned over 100 million laptops. WOW thats a lot...

Or he's worked on a lot? I've seen quite a few just in a fairly small city (100k population) that overheat like crazy, usually in smokers houses.

Not sure if anyone mentioned Apple's Supplier Responsibility Report or whatever it is. It has all of their suppliers listed: http://images.apple.com/supplierresponsibility/pdf/Apple_Supplier_List_2011.pdf

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is fourth on the list. So, no longer a rumor. The rumor should be changed to whether they plan to use AMD CPUs anytime soon.

EDIT: Wait, AMD would have had to be a part of Apple's supply chain because of the graphics cards... Lol
