All I see is the highest-end Llano integrated is 50% faster than HD 3000. The A6 is more like 30%. http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6620G.54675.0.html
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000.37948.0.html

I'm seeing 30% GPU gain for Trinity. Big deal, 30% gain compared to Intel's 60% gain, it'll only be perhaps 30% faster on GPU, while AMD's CPU will be over 3 years behind Intel (slower than 1st-gen i7).
http://forum.notebookreview.com/hardware-components-aftermarket-upgrades/636978-ivy-bridge-mobile-3920xm-tested.html
HD 4000 gets 8049 on 3DMark06, vs. 5275 for HD 3000. ~52% gain.
OT but Intel's IB ULV i5's will be fast as their standard-voltage SB i5's. Which is faster than any dual-core AMD CPU ever made (dekstop or mobile).

There is nothing in your sources that says anything about llano. Who are you trying to kid.

they dont even make any sense. They dont compare at all. Use real sources like I have from anand tech. You must think im stupid or something and wouldnt look at them.

Look at my sources and it tells plain and simple what I stated above with the links

This would be a nice addition to apples line. I'm not a big fan of there way overpriced systems but AMD's APU's are so killer compared to any intel system that has intels horrible graphics chips. My A6 rocks my friends I5 laptop as far as gaming goes and he even has an nvidia gpu not even the sad intel graphics.

Ive seen llanos play Battlefield 3 on ultra and get 50-60fps easy. Llanos are beasts. Trinity is to be at least 50% better.

probably like 800x600

im as big of an AMD supporter as the next guy, but even Llano is not that good. I can't play Ultra @1050p with those kinds of frame rates, and i have a 6950.

FWIW, the top end one (desktop A8), there are 400 stream processors, so basically a 5670. Subtract a bit since memory bandwidth and latency are lower/higher respectively, and clocks are lower, yea, 1080p ultra isn't happening at 50FPS/

The only reason Apple would choose to use AMD processors is to increase their profit margin. Hopefully nobody expects AMD Macs to be cheaper (because they won't be.)

Yet they then complain that when the small hard drive fills up with apps and music from all there other apple products and the thing starts choking on facebook games why it isnt oh so "fast".
People who buy apple "LAPTOPS" are kinda counter productive.

All of my rage. I hate it when people do that. doh.gif

Trinity to be 50% better than llano. stated here.

When trying to prove a point use better sources.

Your Anand benches are with a 6550D, which is clocked at 600mhz, which is 50% faster than laptop Llano. This is a thread about mobile, are we on the same page yet?

Please do check the official Intel site for HD 3000 clocks. Standard-voltage i5's HD 3000 runs at 1.3ghz core, compared to desktop HD 3000 at 1.1ghz core. So, let's do the math: Intel gets an 18% performance gain over your benches, and AMD gets a 33% performance loss. A bit of 7th grade math yields that the HD 3000 in laptops is within ~40-50% of AMD's 6620G Llano laptop.

So, if you're right, perhaps Trinity will be ~60% faster than HD 4000.

Anyways, enough bickering. Intel's ULV line will have HD 4000 graphics as well. These will have the same TDP as whatever will replace the AMD E-450. What do you think will go into a Macbook Air? 50% gain over 6310 (which is 80 SPs..), or 50% over HD 3000 (which is faster than A4 graphics/240 SPs). Perhaps Trinity will get shoved into a Macbook Pro eventually, might make sense. Idk. Don't see it happening for Macbook Air.

Edit: Also realize that Llano has a 35-45W TDP, never will go into an Ultrabook. If anything, it's Bobcat or it's replacement, with a ~17W TDP. I think most will agree that AMD's 17W APUs don't compete with Intel's 17W mobile i5's in terms of graphics or CPU performance. They're good for saving $1-200, that's about it.

With all that rumored high res retina laptop stuff in the mix, it makes perfect sense - the intel graphics are embarrassingly underpowered, especially if you're going to ask them to drive a 2560 by 1600 display they seem, well pointless.
The APU stuff is really something in comparison - it has more power than a 6200LE...
That and I hope it's true, because it will ruin my AMD hating, apple loving friend's day.

That, or they could put a real AMD GPU in the 13".
